Frequently asked questions

What is CBD?

CBD stands for cannabidiol and is a cannabinoid. The cannanidoid CBD is the second most common active ingredient of the plant genus cannabis and has a relaxing effect on the body and mind according to studies. In contrast to THC, CBD is not psychoactive, so CBD does not make you "high".

Where is CBD found?

CBD is one of the components of the hemp plant (Cannabis Sativa L.). It contains a total of over 80 different cannabinoids, some of which have hardly been researched yet. The best known cannabinoids are CBD (cannabidiol) and THC (delta (9)-tetrahydrocannabinol).

Our quality standards at Lucky Hemp

According to current narcotics law, hemp products are legal if the THC content is less than 0.2 %, the traffic with them (except for cultivation) serves exclusively commercial or scientific purposes that exclude abuse for intoxication purposes. Lucky Hemp puts a lot of effort into testing the products at every step. From selection to delivery. The products are also inspected by independent laboratories. Every batch of Lucky Hemp CBD oils and flowers is subjected to an external, rigorous laboratory analysis and only approved after passing the test. How is CBD used?

The CBD oil or CBD flowers offered in Lucky Hemp's online shop are comparable to natural and organic products and smell great.
We advise and sell our products for research, technical or other commercial purposes. Lucky Hemp does not advise on the use of CBD oils and flowers for any other purpose.

How do you store CBD cannabis?

Various studies indicate that when stored properly, the cannabinoids contained in CBD cannabis oils can remain stable for up to approximately two years. For good long-term storage, the right conditions must be created. To avoid making mistakes in storage, it is important to understand what can destroy the active ingredients in your CBD flowers.

Many different factors can affect the preservation of your cannabis flower or CBD cannabis oil. Probably the most significant factor is light. Direct contact with a light source during storage will greatly reduce the maximum storage time of your CBD flowers. Therefore, it is important to ensure that they do not come into long-term contact with light.

Oxygen levels are another significant factor in the long-term storage of CBD products. If CBD oils and flowers absorb too much oxygen, this leads to a faster degradation of the active ingredients contained.
However, if the oxygen content is too low, the humidity can be affected, which in the worst case can even result in mould. So please make sure that there is some air supply during storage.
A very good solution for storing your cannabis oils and flowers is to use our laboratory-grade borosilicate jars, which completely enclose the cannabis flowers. This storage is both airtight and generally beneficial for your CBD products.

As mentioned in the oxygen section, humidity is the main cause of mould. For this reason, it is especially important that the CBD cannabis flowers are kept dry. However, it is also important that the flower is not dried out, as this can cause the terpenes and cannabinoids in it to be lost. For long-term storage, it is therefore important to maintain the appropriate humidity level.

As mentioned in the humidity section, if the flowers are too dry, the terpenes and cannabinoids can be lost. If the temperature is too high, the flowers can dry out and the terpenes evaporate. The consequences are a dense smoke and an unpleasant taste. For this reason, we recommend that you keep the flowers in a cool, dry and dark place to create the right protective environment.

Can you get high from CBD products?

CBD has no intoxicating effect as the THC content is less than 0.2%. CBD therefore does not make you "high".

Does CBD have side effects?

Currently known possible side effects include drowsiness, sleep disturbances, insomnia, inner restlessness and malaise, drowsiness, dry mouth, fever, low blood pressure, diarrhoea, loss of appetite and skin rashes. There may be a link between taking CBD and a higher risk of respiratory infections.

Can CBD be addictive?

Since CBD, unlike THC, does not cause an intoxicating effect, it does not cause addiction.
